Rubber band help !
I have a 24 inch spitfire balsa model that is rubber band powerd. It came with fai tan 2 contest rubber band and I broke it beyond repairable. My hobby shop sells guillows rubber band which is thicker then the the tan rubber and has a white color. How will the guillows rubber band affect the flight of my airplane. How can I lubricate my rubber band for a longer flight, will Vaseline or Castro oil work?

Although original Tan 11 seems to be very difficult to find there is still FAI rubber out there Here is one outlet I found on Ebay. I actually need some also, dang I don't do PayPal.

Traditional Lube of choice is liquid glycerin. A small bottle from the pharmacy is inexpensive and seemingly lasts forever.
