The Southeastern Model show is the largest show on the East coast, they have over a thousand tables in three buildings.
You can buy sell or trade RC planes, engines, motors anything RC oriented.

I believe the tables sell out in about 8 hrs every year.
For you guys going down to look/buy, you better get your hotel reservations in. I made mine and they were already getting slim.

I never sell anything, i'm only interested in buying. I keep a grocery list of things I will need for upcoming projects then look for them at the swap meet. That and just about anything else that interests me. With the state of the hobby being what it is, there are lots of things that just aren't made anymore and likely never will be so swap meets are about the only place to look.

A group of five of us from the Alabaster Radio Control Association ( in Alabama ) went Friday and had a ball ! We brought home eight planes, some engines, props, etc. We've been going to Perry for a while now and always enjoy it. Thanks to the event staff for doing their usual great job !

The weather this year was perfect. I didn't see too many empty tables like in years past. I bought several engines including a Quadra 52 for $20. Lots of bargains.
One guy had boxes of engine parts from his hobby shop that went out of business. I frantically searched for a high speed needle assembly for an OS .61 and after 30 minutes found it. He let me have it for half price; $8. 10 minutes later another guy had one on his table for $5. The kicker came when I got home to hang it on my pegboard only to find I had bought one on the internet last year and forgot to mark it off my list. Oh well.
I'll be back next year like always. For my part of the Country, the Murfreesboro, TN swap meet is coming up in a couple of weeks.

I agree the weather was great this year. This year I picked up 2 fuel dot's, some small screws and I always get socket head servo screws.
As I was leaving the show I got a nice 33% Extra and a DA 100.
I'll be there next year God willing.
