Default RCrange.com – a new site for finding scale RC planes

I have been a modeller for 30 years and run a RC related website for a considerable period of time.

After many years of receiving emails from modellers asking me ‘where can I find this particular RC plane?’ - I have created www.RCrange.com

The benefit of the site is that it will save scale RC plane enthusiasts a lot of time & energy looking for a particular RC Plane.

It is quick and easy to view where a particular RC plane is available and what engine & construction combinations are available for the model. There are thousands of RC planes to view.

Please let me know your views on 'usefulness' of site for modellers. Input would be appreciated.

RC planes categorized into two main groups:

Military Aircraft - grouped as Bomber aircraft, Fighters of WWI, Fighters of WWII, Jet fighters, Jet fighters – multirole, Training aircraft and Transport & utility RC planes.

Civilian Aircraft - grouped as Airliners & transport, Civil light aircraft, Civil utility aircraft, Pioneers of flight, Sport aerobatic, Sport aircraft, and Sport racing RC planes.

Within each group, RC planes are then summarized using ‘model availability’ and ‘available model formats’.

So for example, in this page Military Aircraft > Bomber aircraft - RCrange.com it is easy to identify the B-25 Mitchell RC Model is a popular model with manufacturers (rated with 4 stars) and is commonly available in an ARF, PNP, BNF & Kit format.

The detail page for the B-25 Mitchell then indexes retail models available as being powered by an electric motor, as a kit with optional engine choices, Nitro and/or Gasoline.

Building the site has been a lot of hard work. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks.

[P.S. Hopefully I have posted this in the correct forum area. Could not find one related to RC website].
