.20 40 inch biplane id help
I'm hoping some and long time RC experts recognize this biplane. I have been searching for a while to figure out what this is, and I can't find anything exactly like it. I'm thinking it might be some kind of scratch build. The guy it's from never could ID it either. Any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I tried to contact the shop on the sticker,no response yet

Some specs would be useful. Wing span, length, engine size, etc.
OK, second cup of coffee and I see them now. Looks familiar. Maybe based on an old Sig kit? Resembles their Smith Mini-plane in some ways but not exact. But I have seen that pylon mount for the top wing somewhere before. Maybe the original builder took some liberties?

Outerzone 42" Hal DeBolt Speed Wing plan thumbnail
Hal DeBolt in Dec 1982 Model Airplane News had a 42in span RC biplane by the name of Speed Wing. It had a similar mid upper wing pylon, but wings were smaller on bottom. Yet although similar, the one you have is still slightly different, so you may be right, it may be an original design.
