Model Aviation, Picture on back page.
It has come tyo my attention from the advertier of the plane that Allen (my grandson) was in danger at the time we were taking the picture. I will assure you of one thing I would never put him in a dagerous position at anytime.
First
Plane flying over his head, Was not there when picture was taken. Put in later Photo software.
Second
Allen being to young to hold airplane.
He has been flying RC for about six years (now at age 15) and probably flys better than 80% of AMA members today.
It is really something when people start saying things about something that the have no idea of what is going on at the time
the picture was shot, If anyone was in danger it was me while standing in front of it taking the picture(hope he holds that thing)
People find the facts before making stupid statements.

I was shocked the first time I saw the picture. I figured right away that it was several photos put together, but it just doesnt look right, especially for the AMA magazine.

Magazine picture
I'm not surprised that picture generated some controversy. When I first saw it, I did a double take. After looking at it again it was appearant that it was more than one picture combined. I will be very surprised if that same picture is in their ad next month.

We talking about the Lanier ad? I never believe anything I see in an advertisement

Well, it just goes to show that you can never underestimate the stupidity of human beings. For those not in the know about what can be done with photo editing, seeing is believing. I guess next time Lanier puts an ad in a magazine they will have to make sure that no dangerous looking situations can be interpreted. Or else, do a really crappy job of cutting and pasting images together
