Memberships......
Just got my IMAC membership. 3718. Realized I spend quite a bit a year to belong to stuff......
AMA - $58
IMAA - $20
IMAC - $20
KVMA (local club) - $40
SkyStreakers (other local club) - $60
RCU - $20 (but I liken this to a magazine sub)
Others -
Local Motor Club (www.cumberlandmotorclub.com) - $25
BMWCCA - $35
Total to "just belong" - $278!
And thats not counting subscriptions!!
Geez......

RE: Memberships......
I have $208 in two club memberships and the AMA.
With that said, I meet a lot of good people and can go anywhere I can haul my plane and fly! It is nice!

FLYBOY, while I can't say I've spent that much on mine, I know the feeling. $500.00 a year for insurance, $400.00/yr. for hangar and $200.00-$1,000.00/yr. for annuals really adds up. Not to mention fuel costs at 6 gal. an hour. Combine that with the 4 new jugs and a handfull of valves on the ol' C150 2 years ago that cost $3500.00, it's quite the expensive hobby. It's part of the reason my wife thinks RC is a bargain!

Just a number to throw out for those interested, the insurance on our jet before we sold it was $22,000 a year. Quite rediculous.
