Wilton Multi grip
I was given one of these for Christmas:

Frankly I didn't think much of it until I started covering my ultimate profile.
It clamps to the work bench or table, locks in place, can swivel
360 degress, and has soft enough pads to not damage my models.
I like it.

Sears has them on sale several times a year..I have one and it's great...Sears calls it a "Helping/Extra hand"
