Default 40 size GP clipped wing Cub ailerons

Hi have a 40 sized Great Planes Chipped wing cub bought at auction.
wing span 64", ailerons 12" and FLAPS 9"

Question: Will the 12" airleron work safetly? Should I rework the flats, converting them
back into aileron sections and join them to the existing ailerons.

Thanks

It will work fine. You can always increase the throw if they are not quick enough for you. It depends I guess in what kind of flying you do. For scale you should have plenty. A cub seems to turn better with a little rudder.
Try mixing some in if you arn't happy with the AILE performance. later daveo
