phicks... welcome to RCU. Just a friendly reminder. There is no need to double post. Most of us read various forums. I posted a link to a PDF on your other thread in the beginners forum.

A whatlist? I just check everything metally, no need for a list.

Read the last pages of your Kit or ARF manual, there is always a check list.

Hey, you young guys can do this. When you get to be an old fart, you will see that relying on your memory is an expensive proposition.

I suppose having a check list either mental or physical is a good thing.
There are a bunch of things I usually check the night before I go to the field.
What I check depends totally on the aircraft that I intend to fly the next day.
Do check over your plane often at home and at the field, with experience you'll
come to know what to look for and what is and is not acceptable.

But I wouldn't get too hung up on a hard copy checklist, if you put "everthing" on it
by the time your done , it will be too dark to fly.

To fly safely, just think about what your doing and be reasonable. If your not sure,
ask someone, if you need help, get it.

If you do make a checklist you may want to consider adding this as an item.

When asking questions, always consider the source....they may know less than you !

Roby

Roby, I think this question was ask by a new flyer, I think a written check list is a great tool to use untill you become familiar with the hobby and the plane your flying. Me, A once over of all controls and checking the control surfaces reaction to the Tx, is performed before every flight even if I have flown the plane 10 times that day, and I check the voltage in the Rx, even if I charged them all night before.

I agree, and like I mentioned before , a check list either mental or physical is a good thing.

Just a suggestion ,and take it for what it's worth. Before you post the list at your site you
may want to consider adding something about doing a "range check".

Someday if you think of it at the field , without saying a word just sit back and observe in detail the actions that
occur. Watch and see how many "range checks" are done..............(and the list gets longer)

Regards
Roby
