Finally! - It's been too long.
Forecast for today is 57* with winds of 4mph. Man I have been waiting a long time for this. My guess is the field will be packed, but I don't care, if I don't smell some burning nitro soon, I am going to go over the edge. Hope this day brings good weather in your area today as well. Have a great day I know I will.

Ah, yes. Spring seems to have sprung in the high plains as well. Yesterday was a beauty. 3 of us decided to blow off our respective afternoon at the job and go flying. The field is a swamp, but we flew anyway. Nicest flying day in a long time.

Yes ,winter is just about over here It was 60 deg. here today but I couldn't fly because there were 40 mph winds. A nor'easter will bring us some snow on Tuesday, though. Looks like it will be around 50 for next weekend. I haven't flown in a couple of weeks

73 degrees, 6 MPH breezes, and bright sun in Alazan. Actually a little better yesterday as only 2 MPH breeze.
Is there a problem

Well, the day was better than I expected (except for 1 thiing). When I got to the field around 10:30am, I found only 2 others flying. In a club of over 90 members I was absolutely floored that no one else was there. The 3 of us flew until 1:30-2:00pm until people started to show up. Final tally 10 flyers and a few more spectators. What a great day. I took two planes, my Magic Extra, and my 4*60. However only the Magic flew, the 4* has a fuel leak right around the tank stopper. I will have to cut out the brace at the back of the tank, pull the tank and fix it. Not a big deal, in fact, it will give me a chance to modifiy the brace at the rear of the tank in order to make it easily removed. I always marvel at the designers who think you will never have to get back to the tank after you have it installed. Anyway, the day turned out great. Here's to SPRING!
