When do you fly?
Well, today Saturday, here in England the temperature is Zero C ( 32F) with light winds and offers a near perfect weekend's winter flying.
Do you fly all the year round whatever the weather...within reason?

RE: When do you fly?
Only three reasons not to fly over here in Australia.
1 The tailwheel lifts of the ground when the motors not running.
2 The lightning is getting too close to the transmitter aerial.
3 The replacement plane hasn't arrived in time & everyone else at the site knows how you fly.

RE: When do you fly?
All year around, except when raining and winding hard (above 20 mph).
Here in the winter temperatures can get as low as 25 - 28F, but is very rare, the winter average is on the 40s, so it's always good to fly. Not to mention that in the winter we get lots of windless and clear sky days.......Perfect weather. Summer, or the sun is so hot that you can't stand in the flightline without sweating a lot, or the wind is blowing everything away or the rain is wetting everything....... But I always find time to fly......

RE: When do you fly?
I fly only summer. By the way, what is winter ?
But I won't fly at 12 o'clock sun, I gather that UV would kill my vision faster than the plane.

RE: When do you fly?
snow and rain don't really stop us, weirdly just north winds.
might have something to do with the 400' cliffs at the end of our field and the rotors they produce in those winds, also nothing off the end of them till Canada/Greenland area so the wind tends to be a bit cold

Phillybaby,
One thing that's been intriguing me for sometime now.
What exactly is that 'little red devil' (avatar) below your name doing?[8D]
