sad to see.. i guess you stired up some issues within the "team rcu" ranks "rcadmin" anywho.. yea i guess this whole team rcu stuff is just for advertising or something.. kinda ghey but ya know[:@]
i love rcu its a great community and you can find help on anything and EVERYTHING.. they have some cool admins also.. so dont think imma troll and just stirring up ****.. i just hate censorship[:-]

Joe,
It's still on the first page of this forum. Marc didn't delete it, just closed it. (I'm not sure why he did either. It was more closely related to RC than many of the threads I've seen here. [sm=confused.gif])

i've seen sponsered drivers slower than me, i've seen sponsered pilots at shows that make the rest of us look bad. most of the time it's who you know and who you want to suck up to.
i've recently got lucky and will be flying as part of a team ( made of 4 local club members ) after we were seen flying this guys planes after display hours, he was impressed enough to ask us to fly for him at some shows.
Free kit, trade engine each, he gets his planes shown, we get not only the planes but to fly at a big UK show.
best bit is we didn't have to suck up to anyone

I didn't see a reason for that thread to be closed either, except pure censorship. But as I understand the admins have plenty of power to do whatever they want to the forums, so let it be the way they chose it to be. (no sarcasm inteded)
My opinion about the "Team RCU":
As long as RCU offers this huge, really huge amount of RC related information for free (Here goes my countless thanks for the makers of this site), I really don't care to what they do to keep it that way.

I'm closing this one too. Team RCU is what it is. Love it, hate it or whatever. We feel it helps the pilots, RCU, and the hobby. That is our opinion. As stated in the closed thread NASCAR does it, footwear companies do it and sponsorships of all types exist in all facets of the hobby. they already exist in RC and we aren't the first to sponsor a pilot or driver.
If you want to be a sponsored pilot or driver then practice, be great, win and you can become sponsored.
