Default New RC field at NAS Alameda

To all of the RC Universe community residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are attempting to obtain a new AMA charter for an RC field at Alameda Point (formerly NAS Alameda). Are there enough of ya' out there to make this work? The location is perfect. Have flown there "un-officially" many times. Time to get a club going. ANY INTEREST!!??

Sounds like a good idea to me. I hear that EBRC may soon lose their field in Livermore so there may be quite a few looking for a new place to fly. I fly out of the LFE field, but would be interested in checking out the Alameda field. Where is it located? I'll check it out on Google Earth.

It's going to be a long, painful process dealing with all the beaurocrats. We can still use the field in the meantime but it will take a while to get it going.
