Just curious, did he follow Carl down the tubes? Can't seem to get on any of his links.

Yeah but is anyone dumb enough to buy from him after all the bad PR that Carl, he and that bozo webmaster of his seemed to generate? []

Hi,
This is the bozo webmaster from the Jack Devine Models site. Stilll out there bozo-ing and bringing websites for serious businesses to the top of the search engines. Despite quite a few requests, I no longer do anything in the RC industry.

However, I have heard that Jack is still running the business at a slowed-down pace, because he is retiring next year and wants to get his lineup straightened out. I imagine he's adding a few new models and getting rid of a few others. There had been some talk about adding some smaller 60 and even 20 or 30 size models, I had seen some of the prototypes, like a cool little Corsair. Never got to see one fly though.

I have offered to work out something with Jack to put the site back up for him, as I don't really have much use for it. He probably wouldn't want the extra business from it until he retired anyway, and I've heard he's about as busy as he wants to be now. If we did agree on something, I would not be running the site once it was back up and linked up, he would have to take it over or have somebody else run it. I have no interest in anything even remotely having to do with the business end of RC.

As for the bad PR, I'm just a working guy who doesn't work for free. Not getting paid for nearly 9 months of work really ticked me off, I'll admit it. If that's being a bozo, get me my clown shoes and makeup! Ultimately, I'm not angry at Jack any more, and it's smarter for me to strike a deal with him than to throw away a lot of really good work that he could certainly use in the end, and that I have no other use for.

I can't complain about the models, those kits build into great flying planes, and whatever has been said, nobody has ever complained about the way they fly. It's a good product. With some smart business practices, it could be a very popular one, I would think.

As Forrest Gump would say, "And that's all I have to say about that."

Later, guys.

Jimbo
