RC Demographics
I'm looking for some demographic info on RC flyers. Age, income, education, percentage of the population. Can anyone help?

I don't know of any organization that asks all of your criteria. The
AMA only ask your age, and I'm sure the MAAC is the same way.
Some of the manufactures ask in their consumer survey about age
, income bracket, etc. The AMA web site could give you a current
member count, but that doesn't help for the unregistered pilots and the members of foreign RC groups. It is hard enough to get
50 % on this forum to list their location let alone fill out anything
in the profile section reguarding their interests or planes they fly.
Let's just say there's a whole mob of us that act younger than we
are, don't make enough to support our hobby fix and are just smart enough to get ourselves into trouble.

RC Demographics
I'm working on pitching a cable show to some of the major cable channels. This would be a flight exclusive show (heli, sport, 3d, glider, electric, glow, giant scale). I had been working on this a few years ago but was talked out of it by non RC people. I thought I would try to get it going again now that I work for a production company that creates shows for cable. Our current show that we are in production on is "Inside Fame" on CMT.

RC Demographics
The AMA did a survey in late 1999 that had quite a bit of demographic information in it. I'm away from home base right now so don't have the file. But if you will drop me a note on Monday I'll send it to you. It is a Power Point presentation so you will need a powerpoint reader (free download from Microsoft if you don't have it).
