Trainer type thing for a 25FP
ok, first off I'll admit this thing would be for me.[&:]
it seems lots of people have a great time flying a simple box plane and i will say i miss landing planes properly, esp trike UC
so I've got an old 25 lying around and i fancy some simple trainer. i have had a look through my plans and found a Tucano for a speed 600 ( it has the trike UC i want ) , but the wing section isn't "trainer thick" and of course it's low wing so it's kinda taking away from the simple, easy, tame thing I'm after.
any plans out there for something I'd like?? or CHEAP kits/artf's here in the UK
Thanks

I've always have a Goldberg Eaglet or GP Trainer 25 in the hangar. I like the take the incedence out of the wing for a little faster roll rate and to have a little more fun. Both kits run about $60 US.
I miss the old Tiger 20 and Falcon 25. Those were some fun planes. I have thought of building a Tiger 2 .20 by reducing the plans from the .40 kit by 33%. Although the Tiger was a low wing, the Falcon had a mid-placement wing and was a great flyer.

those few mins that fill your head with ideas just befor you sleep gave me a cracker of an idea..
i started powered flight on a very simple plane called Electric haze, converted to glow and given trike UC this could be great, still not full on trainer wing and stability, but it might do the trick, i might even still have my orginial tailplane

thats the kinda thing, but too pretty, too fragile.
i think a foam winged new version of the Haze is the way to go.

Philly, mine was so light and strong that it took a lot of abuse. I even had a midair where it got got hit on the wing next to the fuse. The other plane went in and it survived. I finally taught my brother to fly with it and sold it to him. He flew it for about 50 flights before battery failure caused it to fly away. He found it a mile away sticking straight in the ground. I didn't get to see it but I bet I could have repaired it. Sig makes a quality model but you sound like you have your mind made up.

well my plane here still has a skinny section, but nothing i can't sort, i can build it from my balsa bin, and cover it in the scraps of film i have left, it's a truley don't care plane ( no i don't want a SPAD )
first problem with the SIG is it's in the US, second, it's still £38 without shipping, thats caring about cost. third it's still to pretty lol
any good plans out there would be welcome tho, just point me in the right direction.
