Default A-10 prop jet

a few years ago there was an article in RCM or MA about someone scratchbuilding a 40 size A-10 propjet.
im very interested in building one of these.. but i cant seem to find any info on plans or otherwise.. the article seems to have vanished into thin air (along with my copy of the mag)

does anyone remember this or know where i can get plans or a kit?

thanks

If you're referring to the Keith Sparks designed A-10, there is a nice thread about it in this forum....do a search for A-10

Default A-10

The A-10 you are referring to is from RCM, a .40-.46 size pusher, all wood, designed by Mike Pastro, who also designed several other planes, including a F-18 pusher for RCM. You can call RCM Plans Service and they will know they number or you can go to their website and look through their plans catalog, I think it is under scale subjects. The fiberglass nacelles and canopy are available from Bob Holman Plans in San Bernidino, CA.
Good luck, it is an easily built airplane, and looks good when it is done.

I bought one of the prototypes of this plane at a swap meet. It flew very well and was very adept at ACM (air combat manoevering - the stuff they demonstrate at airshows)

A couple of recommendations.
-go with a .46 especially if you fly from a grass field. Mine needed every foot of our 400' runway to get airborne

-use a servo in each wing for ailerons. Mine was lost when the recommended aileron linkage failed. The wing will fly again in another form, but the fuselage was a write-off.

The construction article I believe was in 1997..not sure of the month

Default Try this

It is located here...
http://www.rcmmagazine.com/e/env/000...=plans:pl-1144

But if you have problems finding it, it is plan #1144 from 5/93 RCM, by MIke Pastro.
Good luck.
