I was in the store two or three weeks back and they were selling all of their stuff because they are moving. I asked the same question and they told me the web site will have all of there information about the move.

You can write them at this address: lmmiele275@cs.com

Default I was in there on Friday... and called Saturday.

...assuming you're talking about http://www.nationalhobbysupplyinc.com/

The R/C stock is a bit low, but they're still there, at least for now.
Sometimes Atlanta area numbers will give you trouble at certain times of day.
(I get the same thing calling OUT sometimes... due to overloaded circuits or whatnot)

Anyhow, I talked to Mike about some radios, and he says he has some new
ones coming in with a shipment of other stuff soon, so I assume they're not
closing up shop... yet anyway, and never, I hope.

I hope they stay in business... way too many hobby shops don't make it

They seem like nice folks to deal with.

I visited the hobby shop in Winder and they have a lot of stuff at good prices. Two shops have opened here on the south side. one in Stockbridge and one near stone mountain. I hope they make it. If there prices are good, I will patronize them.

Where's the one by Stone Mountain? The only one I know out that way (Well, past the big rock) is B&B sales. Are there any others?

I've contemplated opening one closer to the city, as I live in Decatur. But the age-old problem arises again - how do you keep prices low in the hobby business while paying for everything else to run a store?

What several hobby shops are doing around here is having someone offer the public the opportunity to fly either heli or airplane trainer for a few minutes as a promotion. These shop owners discovered that if they have someone working for them, that it works great to get people to buy. Then they are directed to the nearest club for instruction. From what I hear, some clubs have a hard time finding new members. This would be a win-win situation for everyone.

Also, the shop owner doing this may not have to try to match mail-order prices with all the new business he himself brings in.

Take care,
CCR
