I've heard of people using "lamp" oil. The stuff they sell for those decorative lamps with glass globes, but I think it's more expensive than commercial stuff.

I have used 3 parts Kerosene to 1 part Transmission Fluid. It works ok, but it stinks like hell.

I have heard that 25% diesel and 75% kerosene works great.

100% concrete form oil. Available in 5 gal cans from most building supply locations for around $30.00/can. You can mix 75% form oil to 25% kerosene or diesel if you want, but why bother.

The Super Dri still works the best, though.

Kerosene Diesel & kerosene 50:50 (Source: unknown)

Diesel and Automatic transmission Fluid 50:50 (Source: unknown)

Diesel and small amount of butyl carbitol (used by clothes cleaners) no more than 30% butyl carbitol (Source: Model Airplane News article.)

Diesel oil No. 2 (Source: unknown)

Lemon oil (used for cleaning) (Source: customer at WRAM show 1997)

EXXON Mentor 28 (Source: Ad Clark, Kalispell, MT)

LAMP OIL by Lamp Light Farms and 40% HAVOLINE 5 OR 10 WEIGHT OIL.
HAVOLINE is a parafin based oil, seems to work best in smaller 2-strokes ( Source JIM KITSON From: PAGE, ARIZONA)

Pure mineral oil will make pretty white fluffy smoke and is good for your skin as well.
