A hovercraft at the fun fly (full scale)

Yep there was a real hovercraft at the fun fly I went to today!

anyway, they are used up here in the north country quite a bit for fire/rescue operations on partially frozen lakes. it is the perfect craft for those conditions when you would otherwise be endangering the life of the rescuers to venture on a lake and fall through.
