Default Dubro Fillin Station problems

I purchased two Dubro Fillin Stations from Tower Hobbies when they first became available, both of them have had fuel caps crack and break and one of them has had the red fuel line fitting break. I would be interested in knowing if anyone else has had this problem.

Yep, I purchased one of these myself and the same darn thing happened. The cap cracked right in two. Not a very good design for the price if you ask me. I picked up another cap at the LHS. The owner just took a cap out of a box from a new one. I now try to add a little down pressure on top of the cap and not crank so hard on the pump. So far so goo, but waiting for the new cap to crack as well.

I work for DU-BRO and I want to apologize for the hassles. We are aware of the problem and we believe we have fixed it. We are now molding the cap out of a new material and it seems to have made the situation much better.

Unfortunately this was one of those weird things that only happens once in a while so our testing never revealed the problem. Anyone who has had a problem like this should e-mail us at [email protected] and we will send a new cap right away.

Once again, we apologize for any inconveniences and we appreciate your patience.

Brian, well I have to hand it to you guys at Dubro. This is a very quick and and nice service touch. I can handle a product having a problem, especially when the company works as quickly as you guys have to resolve the issue with a workable solution. I just sent you and email response asking for the new improved cap. Thanks much.

Thanks Dubro, I received my replacement parts today. I was at the flying field today and another of our club members had a cap failure. I have seen too many problems with the Fillin Station so I purchased a pair of Slimline fuel jug fuelers, much more sturdy, all aluminum and uses the same pump as Dubro and is the same price as the Dubro Fillin Station.

Hey Brian, did you get the email I sent you for the replacement? I haven't received the modified cap to date. Just checking. Sent the email on 7/20.

Thanks.

Brian,

I'm still waiting on the replacement cap after doing as you requested and sending you an email personally. What's up? The second cap has now broken in the same manner and the threads to the nut that secures the filler from the bottom of the cap slip as well. Sure would like the upgraded replacement that you said would be sent if requested. Well, still waiting partner after more than a month.

Your replacement is going out today. The e-mails must have been lost. Sorry for the hassles.

Thanks,

Brian, I received your email response and appreciate the f/u. In your defense, the original address was the problem and why you didn't get my email responses. Once we connected things got back on track.

Thanks again for your help.

Brian, thanks for your help and follow-up. The new cap and fitting came in today. Like I said in the beginning. You have to like purchasing products from people who stand behind the product and help you when there is a problem. Looks like the new cap will hold together better. Thanks.

Anyone have their pump leak? I just bought one to use for my first gasser. Haven't really looked into it, but it seems like it's leaking internally. All I did was take it out of the box and attach some yellow Tygon. I don't even use the rest of the unit....... yet.

I had the replacement cap break sometime in the fall with out my knowledge, after sitting all winter exposed to the air 3/4 gallon of 30% heli went bad. I contacted Dubro and they sent me a new cap, so far it's holding up but I'm out about $18.00 of fuel.

Brian, I had emailed customer support about the replacement cap breaking but the woman that replied was quite rude and really didn't seem to care about problem. Oh well, it won't stop me from buying Dubro, I still like your other products.
