Airplane Kit
Has anyone ever heard of and airplene called the "Dragon Lady"
As far as I can tell it is 1998 vintage, semi built with foam core wings that are sheeted, built-up fuselage with exposed stringers on the aft turtle deck, open cockpit, etc
Let me know if you have heard of it and any possible review comments

RE: Airplane Kit
Model Tech makes an ARF as seen in the following threads. Searches on RCU are quite rewarding.

Forgot to add that Model Tech made the kit before the ARF.

RE: Airplane Kit
I have a friend who had one and I flew it a few times. I found it to be a very stable aircraft, capable of most aerobatics, and when cranked back was a *****cat. Landings were easy, like landing a well set up trainer, slow and easy. He offered it to me a few months later, but with my eyes on another model I turned down the offer. Wish now I had taken it, the one I wanted and got turned out to have a short life. Oh well, that's life in R/C land. I say if it's available, go for it.

RE: Airplane Kit
I have one of the arf dragon lady's. I love how it flies. I only have a 75 GMS and it is rated for up to a 90-2 stroke (I believe) and even with the smaller engine, at full throttle, this plane will take off almost straight up and at half throttle, it flies very gentle. It was super easy to put together. I have had a few dead stick landings with it and when the engine went dead, the plane just kept flying very gentle. As a matter of fact, it didn't want to loose altitude, just stay at its current altitude. Very great handling characteristics. I definitely recommend this plane.

RE: Airplane Kit
I guess mine was probable considered the arc not arf. I did cover it. The plane came with the wings needing gluing together, and the tail feathers put on. In total, it took about 1 day to put together then I covered it.
