Just curious what kind of flying you do more than others?

Your question is "What kind of flying do you like best?" and here you say you wanted to know what we DO more than others.
Those are two different things. I LIKE racing best, but DO far more sport.
Besides your poll is too limited. I definitely prefer Scale Warbird Racing above any other discipline, however due to the limited activity, I seldom DO it.

I like sport flying best.
This IS after all a hobby for me. I get enough details in my day to day life, I don't want to go out to the field and have to be concerned with "What prop should I use in this humidity?".
I just want to relax, fly, and have fun.

I enjoy not crashing the most, which ever type I happen to be doing. I like to go for those scale takeoffs and fly a plane like a real one would fly (not 5' vertical take-offs) but sometimes I do stuff a real plane wouldn't think of doing. It's a sport

RE: What type of flying do you like best?
Ive been watching a combat competition, and ever since then im trying to get my hands on a zagi.. See my other topic. If I ever DO get one, ill be combat flying asmuch as possible, simce my friend is also trying to get hooked up with a zagi.
What I currently DO most, is parkflying. I dont know in what catagory that fits.
Also, I feel perty dumb for not knowing what IMAC is. Can someone enlighten me?

IMAC- International Model Flying Club
Basically comeptetions where scale models of full size aerobatic aircraft are flown through aerobatics schedules and sequences much like full size aerobatics are.
Most IMAC models are 1/3 scale (30%) and such but any size of scale can be flown, however the larger aircraft are favoured due to far more better and more importantly scale like flying charactaristics.

So, IMAC is moreless a scaled down airshow? Cool. Like bigass F15 jet planes and stuff? Ive got a bunch of videos on those huge planes. One of this giant yellow and red flamed airplane, that was twice the size of the pilot. Amazing stuff, but I woulnd want to fly one of those giant moneybags around, in fear of crashing it.

Well you listed all of the toys, where are the turbines?
Well you listed all of the toys, where are the turbines?
Turbines are an engine type, not a type of flying!
You could have sport turbine powered planes, like a kingkat
You could have scale turbine powered planes like an F-15.
If turbines are going to be listed as a separate "type", then you may as well expand to glow, gas, electric, glider.........

My favorite type of flying is when I can take the airplane home in the same configuration it arrived at the field.

For the last 5 yrs I have flown electric. Lithium Poly has made that an even better choice- and I fly them exclusively now- and my airtime has gone way up per session. Here are some odd projects I've been flying and tinkering with.
2 meter Electra- I pulled the wings off this summer trying to get it down before it disapeared overhead in a boomer thermal. I got it down. The flutter was phenomenal- so was the cloudsuck! Don't set the trim for speed thinking it'll just sink out- it'll bank and now the pitch is way low and ain't that flappin and howling somethin'? Had it for 3 yrs and lots of hrs aloft. I crave spoilers.
Aspire pure 2M glider for hi start launch. Snagged an over 30 minute flight off that twanger this summer. My girlfriend got a lot of airtime that day on the buddybox. Teaching people to fly is much of the fun for me- and the budbox makes it safer to actually do.
A 1 oz Super Skeeter with magnetic actuators and a tiny 250ma lipo single cell powering it- good for over 15 minutes and in-your-face circles around me.
A flock of balsa Skeeters and other strange superslowflyers for micro- including a micro Pitts Special. I had many a fingerprint stuck to that lil plane!
10' Bird of Time for electric and pan/tilt cam conversion. I plan to use a tiny electronic hang gliding audio variometer and listening to it thru the video/audio link for soaring info.
Porter twin camship, the "funnest" project yet. I will be recording the nosecam directly to MPEG video (web format) with the Memory Stick in the D8 camcorder for an easy upload to the board this weekend- barring hurricanes.
I enjoyed learning to use the FMA Co-Pilot on the video plane- it was not as simple as I first thought- and my unique field gave me fits in calibration due to hills on 2 sides. The experimenting went well and now I like it and it suits my needs for keeping the camship safe. I am amazed at the difference in the plane's newfound intelligence and the chance of loss of control is less.
29" Rascal w 700 ma 11.1 Volt Lipo fits nicely for the geared 180 - (sweet plane). Part hot Cub, part fighter plane.
One unique 'type' of flying I do is Control Line RC. Huh? Flying around myself in tight circles- then reverse turn before I fall down or something. You can see every nuance of the turn when it is close to you circling- and with a small slowflyer you could put your hand out at any time and pluck it from the air.
In short, I am flying, experimenting, learning and enjoying it more than ever. Few hobbies are more satisfying on so many levels.
