Default Stolen Gear

My car was broken into on the night of Friday July 27, 2002 in Scarborough (Agincourt). All of my R/C radio gear as well as an aircraft were stolen.
If you see any of this equipment, please contact me with particulars.

- A silver radio case with "F.Otta" marked in red marker on all sides.
The case contained the following:
brand new Futaba 9 CAP radio transmitter
Hobbico Digital Tach, dark green neck strap

- A Pink (with Black trim) SIG Wonder
with an OS .15 LA engine and Futaba radio gear

- A white, “Great Planes master caddy” two-part field box with an AJAX R/C sticker and red/blue/black stripes. Contained a fuel bottle, electric starter, sealed battery, dual glow plug drivers, pump, Dymond field charger, other bits and pieces

- Two glow plug drivers engraved with "F.Otta"

Frank:

Sorry for your loss. Those low-lifes that would rather steal than
work. With the coverage of RCU, it will be easy to spot at a swap
meet or if it shows up at a field. The radio is another story. They're
not going to take the time to recover, but instead maybe paint
over the covering.

I think that the chances of getting this stuff back are fairly slim but it's worth a shot, IMO. Two other cars were broken into in the same area at the same ~ time so the thieves are almost certainly not into the RC hobby. I imagine it may show up on ebay or a local flea market. Insurance will cover the loss but they will not build another plane for me.

Maybe the scumbags who stole the plane will try to start it, in which case, perhaps it'll take one of their fingers off. But, then I might end up getting sued :-)

Fotta don't worry what goes aroun comes around. Maybe someone will break into their vehickle and steel their "junk" cause they surlly don't have any thing worth steeling otherwise they wouldn't of done this dirty deed. Of course you know the first words out of the local police was it insured. Down here that was the case when I had about $10,000 worth of tools stolen out of my car and that was during hard times(no insurance) and all tools were marked. I was able to stay behind the thieves about 1/2 an hr.each stop that the tools took. But by the time I could get the attorities they were gone. Best of luck on catching them and I hope you can get some kind of satifaction.

I am very sorry to hear that. You should report it to the police. Why would they steal your RC stuff? I hope those thieves will be punished harshly.

Hey Frank.....who in their right mind would want a pink Wonder anyways???? Pink Sudokhoi's are much more appealing!

Just kidding there bud.....Hopefully this stuff shows up just for the sake of the guys who did it will get caught. I loath people who steal.....people who steal RC equipment are even lower than scum that gets scraped off of your shoes after visiting a farm.....lets hope they get caught.

See you at the field.

Thanks for the encouraging replies. The stuff *was* insured so it's not as bad as it might have been but still,....
