Merlin powered Corsair?
Naw! That plane is powered by a Hispano-Suiza E-4. They were designed and tested during the French Revolution in Spitfires but the Spanish won and gave all their engines to the Germans, who sold them to a Hollywood producer who later became famous with his highly accurate portrayal of sheep loving Army misfits who flew Corsairs in the South Pacific during the WW1.
The Avenger, 10th plane from the right, second row, was flown by a pilot named John Steed, with Emma Peel as navigator, they were British.
I hang out a lot in the Warbird forum, can't ya tell?

Is that the photo you're going with for scale competitions? Should get aces from the judges.
I'm still trying to figure out what that big one is flying real, real low- just above the water. Geez, it looks to be 10-20 times the wingspan of the higher flying ones.

Why is that pilot wearing a plaid shirt?
Why is that pilot wearing a plaid shirt?
He's Scottish, is wearing a kilt, and is sitting upside down. It helps when flying inverted, I believe.

How did they ever do Monty Python without you?

I had great problems trying the haddock slapping dance, so I'm probably unsuitable.

I think the pressure of Mt. Saint Helen is getting to Art.
Surely he meant the first row, fourteenth from the Left.

Well I have changed my mind as I sold the Avenger kit and now I am looking at the SBD Dauntless, first 5th from the left. Haven't decided what engine to use yet though, maybe a .70 surpass.

Now that's a sight I don't care to think about! If you believe what they say about "what's under a kilt"!
