RE: international flyers
Hi. Joseph from Pilipinas (Philippine Islands). We have an organized 10 or so clubs here with an equal number of flying fields all around the main islands of Luzon (north), Visayas (central) and Mindanao (south). There should be around 300 flyers all in all. I belong to (and fly) a club in Manila. Our field is on an open lot by Manila Bay.

I see that my country is listed on your list in the beginning of this thread, so please feel free to check us out at www.rc-pilots.com. We in El Salvador a continuously growing one member at a time. Our weather is almost perfect 365 days out of the year, and we fly several types of models and helicopters.

RE: international flyers
Hello; I'm surprised that no one from Canada has piped up yet; Well here I go. I fly on the west coast of Canada, and have flown in all provinces except Newfoundland. It's pretty popular here.
I went to Cuba for the month of April this year, and wasn't able to find any flying at all, anywhere on that island. I asked everywhere I went and the only answers I got was that it was illegal to posess nitro, and impossible to buy Methanol anywhere in the country. I know that there are many Cubans living in Florida that fly, Perhaps they might know better, but I don't believe that there is any RC flying in Cuba.

Hey guys,
Glad to see the international side of the hobby. I'm an American of Egyptian decsent. I have been back and forth 4 times this year alone and yes we fly near the pyramids. I'm trying to get a pic of me hovering with the pyramids in the background. Will post it if I get it this time. Anyway the group there ranges, from the newcomer to the WELL expirenced. My father was born in Egypt and even represented Egypt in the 1969 World Championships in Austria (pretty sure it was Austria) So needless to say, I was born in the hobby.
As for flying in Egypt I have had many different expirences. One place I fly is an Airforce base with an active squadron of F-16's. AWSOME I tell you. This of course is not the norm, it is for some work I am doing for them on their ATTEMPT at a UAV program. As for the regular places, they usually are just spots that no one uses. The one place I fly at has weekly minium 20 guys flying. The only thing I have not seen flown in Egypt yet are the jets, but everything else is there.

It took a long time for the truth to come out but now we know how the Pyramids were built...

In Brazil we have the same frequencies in use in the United States, which means airplanes/helis use the same air frequency control, while cars and boats share their own surface frequency control board. Many of our members do use the new transmitters/receivers where you can change the frequency without the need of replacing crystals. So it is quite simple and rarely we need to wait much for the frequency pin to be free.
In out last international event, the 4th HeliAsas (Heli wings), we had a guest pilot from Australia. His name is [link=http://www.nigelbrown.com.au]Nigel Brown[/link] and he is from Perth, Western Australia.

Hi Euqor,
I didn't realise that you guys had a seperate freq range for air & ground, makes it a lot easier.
I just had a look at Nigel Brown's website, I hadn't heard of him before, but I'm not into choppers that much.
Once again, that is an awesome field.
