Yeeeeeepppp...He'd pull up in his tour bus, with more than one in the under-belly storage space and burn up the sky baby...He didn't live far from our field...If ya like country music, one of the guy's in Diamond Rio fly's as well...later

Must have been interesting watching Mr. Orbison fly. He had been almost blind for fifteen years. Without his glasses he could not see his hand before his face and with the glasses he could only see several feet at best. Must have flown the plane close in?

That's just a myth. He had 20-20 vision with the glasses. In fact I recall that the glasses were such a trademark he continued to wear them for show. I recall that he wore contacts when not on tour, I recall him in some old RC mags wearing sunglass's, and not thick perscription type either.
