Aerial photos of Skidmore, Mo incase anyone is curious........
These photos may not be directly related to RC but they were taken with my RC plane and blip chip camera two weeks ago. In case anyone was curious, I have decided to post them on here. In the first two photos, that poor lady that was killed lived one and a half blocks up from the two service stations, across the road from the yellow house. You can't see their house directly because of the tree cover.

As Paul Harvey used to say, "and now....the rest of the story". What's the tale behind the lady that got killed, etc? Not all of us are locals to the Skidmore area and know the true skinny. The pix, by the way, are great. Were they taken during rush hour there

The best thing to do would be to go to cnn.com. There are several stories on the murder there. The people were friends of ours and to be honest I'm kind of talked out about it. It was very bizarre though. This lady was pregnant and her killer met her through her dog breeding website. The killer was reportedly a woman that had lost a child earlier and wanted another one. She took the baby and left the poor mother to die. That's pretty much the story in a nutshell. What makes all this so unbelievable is that things like this aren't supposed to happen in such small towns. Skidmore is around 250 people I believe.

I grew up in a small town in Missouri; believe me, wierd is almost normal in these places. I think it has something to do with an overdose of fundamentalist religion at an early age!

That's kind of a undeserved hit on Skidmore I'd say. In this case the killer was from a large city in Kansas, near topeka. In another killing it was a guy from fulton, which is a suburb of yet another large city, Jefferson City. In both cases, they just picked our town at random. Seems to me it's the big city folk that have the issues. They just come here to deal with them.
