Using it as a trainer... any .40 2-stroke will do fine. That's about equal to a .52 4-stroke.
You really only need more power if you really wanted a different type of aircraft for aerobatics... or you plan on pulling gliders. But... It'll handle almost anything you can bolt on without making it difficult to ballance when installing the radio system.
