Hey Bob, while you are looking for older copies of RCM...by any chance do you have one of a yellow J-3 Cub on the cover? I think it was late 90's or early 2000? It is a shot of the right side of the Cub.....I would like to start a to purchase a copy of that issue.

Can you ask me that question in about two weeks? I'm on travel right now so I don't have access to my 'stash'. I can't say whether I have it for sure because I don't have every issue. If I try to remember this msg, I'll forget about it for sure. Remind me about it the weekend before Christmas if you don't mind.

Sure, I'll remind you later...enjoy the 'travel'.

Hi Tailskid,

I looked through my scanned collection of RCM magazines and I believe the one that you want is July 2003. When I get home this evening, I will post the cover and build article for you.

Happy flying and soft landings!

Hi all,

Can somebody do a decent scan of the Radio Control Modeler May 1987 cover for me. I scan all my magazines to PDFs and the cover was missing from this issue. Thanks a million!

Happy flying and soft landings!!

Hey Bob:
Any covers you want to post.
It is amazing this thread is still alive.
As a modeler, i loved the magazine articles. But the covers, well they were fantastic.
This has to be one of the longest running threads on RCU

Hi Ser and Brian,

Give me a little bit to check and see if I have that issue and see what I might have for covers....

Yup, it's heartening to know that all you friends are still out there.... I can't believe that this thread is almost 8 years old. Catboater started it all on July 2, 2005! Catboater, are you still around???

Ser00,

I've got the issue. It came in a recent batch of magazines about a month ago. The Cover has a Ford Trimotor on it. Unfortunately, I cannot upload the file. I'm not sure if it's me, or if there is another problem with the RCU upload system again. Let me try to upload something else as a test.

And Brian, I have a cover that I don't think I've uploaded before... Let me sort this out and we'll get both files up here.

Test

Nope, I tried to upload a much smaller photo but it won't let me do that either. I think the issue is with the RCU site.

Patience, Please!! We'll upload when this gets fixed. I'll try later tonight and then again tomorrow night.

Test

Nope, no good. The message reads "Internal Server Error" which confirms that it's on RCU's end... I'll keep trying.

And, can anyone tell me if I've already uploaded this one??

Someone put a lot of thought into this cover. Notice how the RCM Magazine lettering, the cowl, and the, um, most important part of the bikini are all color coordinated????

Quite unique and tastefully done.

Yeah, I looked pretty closely and I think that I saw one but I'm not entirely positive....

I hope that those bricks aren't too hot on their delicate feet.... IF so, they could each sit on a wing to get their feet up... The heck with the plane

EscapeFlyer is correct.  It's an Aero-Composite EU-IR epoxy glass kit by Paul M. Hisey.  O.S. Max.61 w/Mac's tuned pipe.  10lbs, 2 oz.

No story in the issue - just the cover photo note.
