I'm new to flying bi-planes, here is my recent addition to the hanger. it's a Kyosho Stearman with an OS 52 4-stroke. I'm currently re-applying and replaceing the red monokote covering.

Gerryy, really good looking planes. Here are photos of good friends biplanes. The Stearman has a 7.75 cuin radial.

I "Currently" have only one bipe, an Ace 4-40. I don't even think that they sell it anymore. I bought one of them back in the early 80's and flew it for about two years until it crashed. I bought another one and it sat in the box until last year, when I built it for dual purpose - Wheels and Floats.

Why did I wait so long ??

Big Bird, thanks. You pix too look great! Gott'a love multi-wing things! I have been toying with the idea of getting a few friends together to fly several triplanes together. Would like to start a flying circus so to speak. Several of us plan to meet at the Rhinebeck Aerodrome jamboree and just fly. nothing fancy then next year at my annual biplane event in Farmington, CT we want to really start fine tuning the flights. Hope it all works out!

Does the Dog House Roof count as Second Wing?

Has anyone built a twin biplane? I'm pretty sure they're rare as real planes... the only one I recall is some kind of WW1 Gotha bomber that had the motors mounted on the struts between the wings. I think it had alot of problems with the motors breaking off the struts and falling to the ground below, with the rest of the plane not far behind.

I've seen a couple models of the DH89 Dragon Rapide.

A lot of awesome bipes on here so far. this is my first bi-wing. It's a Dave Patrick. For the motor I used a OS160 with a perry pump. I put 635's all the way around except the rudder and I used a 5945. I only have two flights as of right now. But it's by far my favorite plane.

If #1 just had a round engine it would be a real airplane. 101" with G-62 on electronic ignition.

#2 is a real airplane. TOs and landings are very easy, but with all the warps in the wings it shakes and rattles in the air. Actually very much fun to just bore holes in the sky. Built from a very old Japanese Control-Line kit with many modifications. 50" with ST .51.
