Asking all modelers to post pictures of there workshops. Not only does it gives new comers ideas as to what is needed in a workshop but it also gives other modelers new ideas in designing a workshop that suits our hobbies. So come on ladies and gentlemen, lets see those workshop pictures.

I'll post one as soon as we get the place cleaned up. (I think we got that scheduled in the next year or two!!!)
Our problem is trying to build 2002 size planes in a 1980's size shop.

Here's a few shots of mine... Still not quite finished, but still a great shop! 25 feet of running bench along the wall and a 5' x 7' rollaround bench for the middle. Have another 2'x6' bench that I can push around too. Still leaves room for the truck to come in on the left with the wing rack above it (see next photo).

There's also a TV in the corner, radio, drill press, bench grinder, mini table saw, and belt/disc sander on the bench. All other tools stored below or in cabinet.

The shop I have came with the house and had to be reworked a bit. The guy that built the house was a gunsmith and I needed to put more work benches in. It measures 13X25X11 and is completely insulated and heated, but no TV, just need my boom box that's all and I'm happy. It has 24' of work bench covered in mahagony, 2 scroll saws, sander and drill press. A buffet table with a solid core door on it where i can walk around a model while working on it. It's a mess right now as I have 2 planes in various states of being put together, but isn't that what a shop is used for??? I will have to post a few so you can see the whole thing.

Mine is WAYYYYYYYY too messy to put up here!
I have about 1.7m of a table up against the wall. On the other wall, there are shelves. That gives me about 2.f feet for me to squeeze in to do some work!

Here is my current "office".

I created a "U-shaped" working arrangement with a couple of "Gorilla" shelf units from Home Depot that I put oversized work surfaces on the top. Another bench is a walk-around, so that I can spread out the mess.

until my basement is finished I have a nice space for all the tools and stuff to build year round.

The picture is more of my twin otter than the shop but it's all I have digitally.

Daryll

ps it's my first crack at posting pics so I hope this works out...

Here's a picture of my workshop. 9' X24' part of 2 car garage. Bench across back wall, 12' workbench on right wall, and 8' building table on left. Just started a T-34 on far end of building table.
