Default Ordering on the web

Hi All,

I was trying to find out why all these companys do not bother to treat us as potential customers.

Bruckners
Chief Aircraft
Hobby People
Hobby Lobby........

If they did, surely they would respond to my Emails,no, they don't even have the courtesy to reply.

National Hobbies Advertise in the magazines, ( as they all do ),but web site not available,Ok try the phone, you got it , all phones disconnected.

It drives me #%^%$&* mad when I try to contact them, to purchase something and this is what I have to put up with.

Why bother to go to the trouble and expense of advertising in the magazines, when potential customers cant even get the courtesy of a reply.

Well one thing I have learned is where to do my shopping in the future.

:disappointed.

Sidekick.

From what I understand National Hobby is out of business..that's probably why they don't respond to you. I have had good luck with both hobby lobby and hobby people. I recently sent a note to hobby lobby about their oracover covering. Just wanted to tell them how much I liked using the stuff. I got a rather lengthy response thanking me for taking the time to send them an e-mail. Sometimes e-mail systems are not that reliable, just pick up the phone and call. I've never dealt with chief aircraft but there are lots of positive comments about this company on this forum.

Thanks Guys,

I am glad to hear you are happy with the service you get.

Guess I will have to be more patient.

Yeah it sucks Nat'l hobby supply went under. They had the best price around for TT Pro 46's ...69 bucks and they usually offered a 5 dollar rebate which almost covered shipping......oh well..

Default Bruckners..

I placed an order with Bruckners one evening for some RX's..I got an email back that same night clarifying the frequencies. It was past midnight where they were and they were answering emails.

If that is the same Bruckners from New York, they were extremly unprofessional when i tried ordering from them. I called them up during the day and every 4th word out of his mouth was a swear word, and the guy in the background wasn't any better. Maybe they are hard workers and get there orders filled, but they need some leasons in customer relations. Needless to say i just hung up and did my business somewhere else.

Not sure if that's the same Bruckners or not, but of the two dealings with them I've had, they've been very positive. I've also heard good things about Winner RC.

They do have a couple of stores in the NY area. Did you use the 1-800 number or call one of the stores direct?

Winner RC is pretty good at responding to emails.
I got the guy to source a bunch of parts for a crashed Saito via email as well as pack a bunch of stuff inside of the box of an ARF
for shipping overseas.

RC Airworld was also quite good for my last set of giant scale purchases. The guy there is Ken Rudd. Prices were very good also.

Of course when a one/two man shop gets large and has to hire non technical staff to man the telephones the game changes and the complaints start.

Default RC by internet

Creek Hobbies in NY gave 100% effort to get an ARF to me in Australia !!

I would recommend them. Good prices too.

Default Chief Aircraft

Although this thread has a little age on it, I wanted to say a good word about Chief somewhere

I placed two orders on Thursday 12/19/2002. Saito 100 shipped three-day and a US60 shipped ground. (Absolutely GREAT prices and NO shipping! - Plus they didn't gripe about AMEX, I big plus for me)

Saito arrived Monday as expected. After reading some of the post re. FEDEX ground I called them 12/29 or 12/30 to check on the progress of the US60. The guy I talked to said he would check on it and if something happened or there was a problem he would call me back. The US60 arrived 12/31 in great condition. I was pleased. On 01/02 Joel, the guy I talked to, called me just to make sure it had arrived! (Super service in my book)

Thank you Chief Aircraft.
I will certainly be back.

Default Chief Aircraft

Placed on order with Chief A/C on 12/22. So far, nothing has arrived and I've received no info about the order. Same thing happened on the last order, too, although I did finally get it, but almost a month after I placed the order. Not sure if I'll use Chief A/C again.

CurtD,
give Chief a call. The same thing happened to me once, it turned out they were out of stock and didn't let me know. Otherwise they are usually very good.

Default Ordering on the web

I wanted to order a Magic 3D ARF from
http://www.hobby-warehouse.com but the shipping cost was a bit high... I sent an Email asking them about the cost of shipping and within a few hours they replied with enough info for me to buy the plane. I got a bit impatient with waiting for the plane sent several Emails to HW and every time I sent one, I got a reply back from them. Very good customer relations.
