Constant rain every day for over 2 weeks-I'm losing it!
With the exception of last Wed.&Thur. It has rained (worse yet, total cloud cover- I'm talkin NO SUN AT ALL) for the last 16 Days!!!! Continued forecast thru tomorrow (Tues) evening - continuous rain, possible clearing Wed.
Lucky we have not had much flooding, only because it has been mostly slow rain. I am thankful for that, but GEEEEEZZ!! I'm about to go stir crazy - ya' know- cabin fever. :bananahea
Okay, i guess I feel better now.
But dang, I do need to get out and fly me a model airplane. :stupid:
Know what I mean?
PS
If any of y'all are from down here in these parts - tell 'em I ain't making this up. At least the rain part .

At least you know what's coming!
Mountain weather is really the pits...the last couple of weeks here has been nothing but "teasers". You know, the kind of day it's calm with the sun coming up at 7:00AM, gets you all excited to go, then by 8:00AM low overcast, windy and rain/snow starting to fall. Can't start any new projects either because we're moving back to the USA soon...
I have had days also when it was perfect weather here at home but at the flying field, 40 minutes away, 10 degrees cooler and heavy snow.
Long Live Spring!!!

Robo, we gotta do somehing with it. I'm thinking of canning some of it and sending it to the "sunny pacific NW"! 16 of the past 18 days - rain. Maybe tomorrow it'll be really nice, like overcast, humid and 25 mph winds.

Hey Locksmith, I can empathize with you! This is the first morning in two weeks it hasn't been raining when I got up. Our flying field is under water, my back yard is under water and last Monday when it flooded out here, the water was up past the sidewalk and into the front yard. We got 9 inches of rain here at the house in about 4 hours. I'm in NE Houston.
Glad it was on my days off, the airport was flooded as well and a lot of people got stuck here for a day or two.
The joys of living in a swamp.....:disappoin

CABIN FEVER????
YOU guys... in Houston dont know what cabin fever is. I was raised in the midwest where all you could do for 6 months out of the year was build and look at you airplanes.
Thank goodness I got to Texas as fast I could. But then I do feel your pain..........
I NEED SOME STICK TIME........................

Been there, done that. Lived in SoCal for a year back in the early 90's. Wouldn't go back there unless I can get a job that pays 3 times as much. Having moved to Houston is the reason I took up RC again - here we fly year round too.
About the rain. Well, I'm trying to look at it on the bright side. At least the rain has allow me finally to finish up my WM Super Stunt 60 and start in on other projects. I don't get a lot of building time these days.
I did squeeze in a wonderful afternoon of flying last Friday, though. It's one advantage of having all my vacation time pile up at the end of the year.

It's been raining here in St. Louis quite a bit latley too. Last weekend, I didn't feel like missing another weekend of flying, so I flew in the rain, and my fingers felt like they were going to fall off. It's the first time ever I've been completly alone at the field before...but it's starting to clear up now, and hopefully it will be a nice weekend coming up. Anyone else ever tried flying in the rain before?

Rain, Rain and more Rain
I'm with ya.
However, today 11/5, I got a flight in and tried to stick my truck in the mud. WINDY!!!!!!
Over the past few weekends with all this rain, me and some flyn buddies have been running slot cars.
There is a track in NW Houston. Indoor fun.
Come join us if it rains again this weekend. But I sure hope it doesn't.
