M.A.N. - cheap!
I'm posting this as a new thread - rather than burying it on page 2 of an earlier thread questioning if the same problems that RCM is having might spread to M.A.N.
I realize that some like Model Airplane News - and some don't. But if you buy it, take advantage of a really special deal. Someone on "fleabay" is offering 1-year subscriptions (12 issues) to M.A.N. for $13.99, and they say 1000 are available. The site states this can be a new subscription or a renewal. That sure beats the cover price of $5.99 an issue (which my calculations show buying it off the newsstand or you local grocery store amounts to $71.88 per year!), or $29.99 per year if you subscribe through the magazine itself. Search for auct.# 6011931172.
They're also showing 1-year subscriptions for Flying Models (12 issues) for $16.99. If interested, search for 6011930528. They also state 1000 are available.
Let me make it clear right up front I DO NOT work for either mag, nor do I know who is offering the subscriptions. I'm just passing the info on to my fellow modelers as I'm sure most of you also look for ways to cut the costs of our hobby.

Just remember.....the magazine does NOT exist on the money from individual purchases or subscriptions. Biggest source of income.......ADVERTISING!!!!! And they certainly have plenty of that----for now. Regards.

Or, is this an example of "if it sounds too good to be true", it probably is". It almost sounds like the old "I'm selling magazine subscriptions to put myself through school, and I have a fantastic price" door to door sales scams. Although it could be legit.

Well, for $13.99 it is not much risk to take to see if you are a sucker or not. That doesn't even get me a 1/4 tank of gas these days, so what's to lose.
Oh, but if you are suckered, please come back and tell us so we don't get suckered. That and we will all say "I told you so!" just kidding.
