Default INSIDE RC and Canada getting screwed again

To all Fellow Canadians, I just like to tell you that this is the response I got from RC Insider

""""""""""""""""""""""""
From: "Inside R/C"

X-Spam-Level: **

The Outdoor Channel is not officially available in Canada, but I know a lot of people in Canada that still get it. They get it through their DISH systems.

Good Luck.

""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

So for other words, Unless your running a Pirated Dish from the USA in canada you cannot watch it

Also I noticed one thing also when I went to Insider RC webpage
http://www.insiderc.com/index.html RCU has a banner on that bottom and must be a sponser. IF that is the case Marc.. you could voice your opionion also to them if you do care. which I no you will . your that type of guy

Sorry just venting

Randy,

I don't think the Outdoor Channel/Dubro/Inside RC has control over what the cable companies or satellite companies offer in terms of their programming. Believe me if they COULD have this also offered in Canda & anyplace else on the planet who would carry it they would LOVE IT.

What is possible & I can find out if there is interest would be whether they could make videotapes or DVD's with the shows on them and send them out to those who want to purchase them if they are unable to see the shows in their area. I have a cable company who doesn't carry it but also have satellite which does. If I didn't have satellite too than I too would be out of luck and I live in NJ!

I HAVE the Dish Net, but the Outdoor channel is only available with the "premium" channel package, which I do not have.

Randy,

Inside RC does not own the outdoor channel. They merely produce a show that is being carried by the channel. All distribution of the Outdoor Channel on any cable or satellite is a function of that network. My contacts are with the people who produce the show and not the network. If you want the Outdoor Channel you need to contact your cable or satellite provider and the Outdoor Channel. As I said if the producers and backers of Inside RC could have this on every satellite and cable network on the planet they would be ecstatic but those who produce a show are not the ones who necessarily own the network.

Furthermore I'm sure the Outdoor Channel itself would love to be carried on as many networks that would have them. Sometimes cable companies or satellite firms carry some channels but not others for whatever reasons. I can't get DIY on my cable even though I'm sure DIY wishes I did.

Yes, I would love to get those WHL games of the week. WE have a team here, but never any TV. Any CHL would be good.

And, I have DirecTV, so no Outdoor Channel.

Thank you Marc for clearing the air. We (Inside R/C) have absolutely zero control on where the Outdoor Channel is carried. As Marc said, we would love it to be everywhere. Actually, all of you have more power than we do, if you call/write to your cable or satellite companies, and tell them you want the station, you may get them to pick it up. We are doing a ton of work to promote this show, and getting the station to as many people as possible is right at the top of our list. We are doing all we can, but your voice is louder than ours when it comes to the cable/satellite companies.

As for DirecTV and Dish Network Satellites, they both will allow you to add the Outdoor Channel by itself for only $1.99 a month. That is exactly what I did at home. On Dish it is ch# 153 and on DirecTV it is ch#606.

Good Luck!

In all sincerity, cable/program providers have the saw in what will be shown. If enough people in a give area request a particular program or channel, it is usually provided. Get the club members to begin requesting the channel from the providers.

Hi Bychow,

R U part of the RC TV initiative? Any chance of "reasonably" priced tapes, dvd's being made available and possibly distributed within Canada?

Doesn't hurt to ask..

ps and Randy, stop trying to export Cdn beer to them, not sure they could handle the alcohol content
