I'll agree, it was fun, but soon ate up too much time for a simingly too distant goal (prizes).

Missing a few days, meant more than 100 plays to catch up... make it 5 plays per day, or limit it to 100 plays per month..

I like playing poker. Yes, I want it back. Yes, it's a waste of time...so what. It's fun.

Only thing I didn't like about it: there is no way to tell if somebody is cheating. Those guys that get 35 points per hand average and jump out to a huge lead. It's a random generator so it doesn't seem to me that a person can have such a run of luck for more than the first day of play. But I could be wrong.

Bring it back, it's fun

YES! Back please! I would play even if there were no prizes. Also, RCU should realize that it keeps me coming back daily, now I only come when some posts on a subscribed topic, or when bored

If you want to play poker go to any of the free poker sites on the Internet and play real poker. I thought it was kind of hokey that Marc thought he needed something to boost the hits on this site and I'm glad he came to his senses. Besides if it took one iota of resources that effected the rest of the site or Marc and Micheal's time to keep it going at the expense of tweaking the RC portion of the site than it is really annoying.

I voted yes

I asked this question on 11-8-05 with no reply on
Forum questions or problems? Thread -- Poker Soon?[>:]

Hi Marc,

What happened to RCU poker??
Thought it was to start in Nov. after the
elections, still no poker.

It would be great to have just a straight
five card draw just using skill and luck nothing else!!

The last game for the first time I finally won 5 RCU bucks,
and would like to add to that!!

Hope you can get it started soon.
Keep-up the good work!!

Clarence
That no one replied to my question. I believe the Mods don't want
the hassle of maintaining RCU Poker by directing us to another poker link. []

I wish that one of the moderators would keep us informed of what their intension is to
reactivate RCU Poker. If not, they need to remove it altogether.

The site owners, Michael and Marc are the ones with the answers to the poker questions.

I think BB hit on the reason for the absence. The poker game was added for fun, and some took it way too serious. Folks were trying to figure out ways to cheat, numerous poker related complaints & requests that required someone to spend time resolving. The last I heard from Michael was that poker may return, but no definite date was given.

I'm not the cheatin' kind. Guess I'm just too stupid to decipher a random actuated game on the internet. It was fun to play it straight in any case. There is a strategy to poker, particularly draw poker. That strategy and a modicum of luck can amake you a winner. If you do not have the deck in your own hands it would be practically impossible to cheat. When playing with real live people part of the strategy is the way you can observe their bets and the way they draw. That is a part of internet poker that is missing and takes away part of the strategy. This way of playing on the net makes your chances about the same as a one-armed bandit at a casino, but it's still fun to me.

I enjoyed it. I don't want to go to some other site to play. simple. I played while I was here. It does seem that the law of averages would not allow a few players to be SO high above everyone else. They would have to be hitting big all the time. I always thought I was getting good hands and points and was WAY behind the top players. Odd.
