"Tool Time" Trivia
I was watching an old re-run of Tool Time from 1993. This was the episode that a Woodpecker started knocking onthe side of the house. near the end of the show, "Tim" went after the bird in a R/C helicopter. We know darn well he was not flying it but whoever was the pilot was flying real good.
So who was the pilot?

I don't remember seeing that episode and I thought that I'd pretty much seen then all more than once.
I'm kind of a Tim Allen fan as he went to college here in Kalamazoo and also got popped for dealing here. He still has brothers and sisters in town yet. He did his Men Are Pigs comedy show downtown at the State Theatre that was shown on Showtime and Comedy Central.

I remember seeing that episode and how angry I got about it making it look like any boob can buy one and fly it.
As to WHO was flying it, my guess is that it was on strings.

I don't think it was on strings. I could tell by the way it was moving around and the way the tail boom was correcting from gyros or fingers. I think it was all R/C.

I agree. Not fluid enough to be strings. There were little waggels,..it slides a little to the side before transitioning into forward flight, the tail hunts a little . Definitely not a string. It was a very good pilot though. I hated when they say "what did you do to his TOY helicopter?" "I added more power!" Like it is that simple.
