Default Silly Advertising

I sometimes wonder if the people who write advertising copy actually know a prop-nut from a tailskid. I don't know whether to laugh or sneer at the ad for the BalsaUSA kit of the Ercoupe which labels it: "The Twin-Tailed Tiger." This for an aircraft which was designed essentially as a plane with training wheels! (G)

If I am not mistaken, the term "Twin Tailed Tiger" actually comes from original Engineering Research Company (ERCO, who manufactured the Ercoupe) sales literature from the 1940's.

Didn't Forney (successor to ERCO) continue to call the Ercoupe that too?

That is amazing. It is just completely inappropriate to call a "Tiger" a plane designed to be as dangerous as a marshmallow. The ad I found on a web search proclaimed: "The World's Safest Plane".
