Silly Advertising
I sometimes wonder if the people who write advertising copy actually know a prop-nut from a tailskid. I don't know whether to laugh or sneer at the ad for the BalsaUSA kit of the Ercoupe which labels it: "The Twin-Tailed Tiger." This for an aircraft which was designed essentially as a plane with training wheels! (G)

> If I am not mistaken, the term "Twin Tailed Tiger" actually comes from original Engineering Research Company (ERCO, who manufactured the Ercoupe) sales literature from the 1940's <
That is amazing. It is just completely inappropriate to call a "Tiger" a plane designed to be as dangerous as a marshmallow. The ad I found on a web search proclaimed: "The World's Safest Plane".
