RE: Thank God It is flying season
I went flying at the park Sunday with my Dad. Sunny, 70* calm. I welcome the summer with open arms. Sun. I was able to maiden my first full kit bullied SG GWS Me-109 off my own plans. And get a PZ P-51 back in to the air after 4 months of battery trouble. No crashes Was a very good day!

RE: Thank God It is flying season
My flying season is much longer than I thought it would be when I entered this hobby. I have a plane that I can fly even when there's snow on the runway. If it's in the 30's or lower no flying. Anything 40 or higher and I'm out there.
The fall, winter and spring cool temps are actually great for flying, the engines have tons of power and the planes float in the dense cool air. When it gets in the 90's or higher that all goes bye bye. But there's no doubt that summer is when I fly the most. I'm always glad when summer is on the way. Shweeet.

What flying season? Here in central Oz land, the only thing that has been flying is a kite, since the winds have been a constant 35 mph or more.
I fly more from October through March then I do April through August. It is just too windy, hot and sticky.
Enjoy your flying season,
Scott
