May we all bow our heads in a moment of silence. Some of you have seen this picture around for a while. This is my little P-51 with the ST G90. It serviced me faithfully since last spring with around 75 uneventful flights. I was doing my usually 100mph passes and came around and put the gear down.
*Out on the back stretch and still cruising, I got no throttle respong or and controls either and went stright to the south forty. Considering what we could see from a distance it looked bad. Turns out it was but the engine was fine.
*Looks like most of the hardware and stuff "may" be usuable again. even the retracts are okay but that fuselage and wings were history. We'll get another up shortly. That G90 has been very reliable. later all.

Default Yo, Cyclic...

.....bummer, man. How come it's always the decent
planes that go in ? I lost my Ultra Stick a couple
weeks ago....Wing came off....TOAST !

I've got 4 or 5 "Rag-Tag" planes that I've had for
ages....I couldn't crash-em if I tried. I think it's the
" Best Plane-Murphy Syndrome ".....

I have seen that twice here inAlbuquerque in the Ultra Sport. The front dowel was to short and when these guys did some half baked loop--off it came and the fuse shot out like a missle. Actually it looked great going light speed into the ground

....that was only half of it....the fuse went about 1/8
mile, full bore....just cleared a guys motorhome that
he bought the day before....and pounded a guys Jeep
hood about 5" lower than it was.

That was $320. cash....cause that's all me and my Buds
had on us !!!

Actually we have light in the tunnel. My buddy has the identical plane but the "Candy Man" version which I am making a deal on. Although this was the least expensive out of my fleet and as fast as it was it was relaxing to fly. Not like my others with "Jett" engines. Get back on the ground with the "D T's."
