I had one of the earlier ones (about 10 years ago) and it was a blast. It was one of the few planes I've had that you could roll inverted and fly hands off with no trim changes. I have one other that will do that, the small Lazy Ace. I also have the big Phaeton 90 with a Quadra 72 on it. It is also a ball to fly but does require that you hold some up elevator when flying inverted.

the pheaton flies great needs more than a 46 took a ton(well 22 oz)to balance it but flies pretty good and pretty fast with the 46fx
it does perform very well inverted.

Phaeton 2
There is a Phaeton and a Phaeton 2 . They are different sizes I had the Phaeton which flew great with a .45. The Phaeton 2 would need some thing in a much larger engine.

Phaeton
John,
The 52" Phaeton was my first biplane, it seems like a 100 yrs. ago. It had wooden cabane struts at that time. It was very aerobatic and yet slowed down for a landing like a trainer.
