Unusual Christmas....
I have 3 daughters, and the oldest one is 5 years.
She was dreaming since a long time that dad will one day build the barbie plane.
I did it in big secret with my whife for christmas

Unusual Christmas....
when we decided to do the plane with my whife
I had two exigences.
1) I build it "ready to fly", either if it will stay in static in the girls room (I ate to build static objects)
2) YOU CUT THOSE DAMNED FLOWERS !!!!!!! (I will iron)

The dark side of building this project
My whife has been very involved in buiding that plane and here are some samples of the conversations we had during building...
ME: cherie, we should design a bigger rudder for edge knife flight, our other somethin extra has bad edge knife performances
SHE: Cheri, do you really think you are better than the designer of that plane?
ME: Cherie, we should select a other color scheme for intrados of wings, otherwise it will be very dificult to see the plane in aerobatic manoeuvres
SHE: YOU DON'T LIKE MY FLOWERS !!!
SHE : Cheri, don't forget to glue the pillow before gluing the canopy
ME: I was going to forget it, it's the first time a glue a pillow in a plane
SHE: CHERI!! you put a drop of canopy glue on barbie's hair !!!!
ME: It looks like hair gel
At 2am when ironing...
ME: Cherie, you missed that flower, it looks like a potatoe
SHE: shut up and iron......

my whife's name is not "cheri", it's Ann
cheri in french is a sweet name like "honey"
so she call me "cheri"
I call her "cherie"

This might seem dumb, but will your daughters fly it?????
I can picture both of you on Christmas eve at 2AM with mugs of coffee frantically trying to get the last 50 or so flowers on......hehehe

Not yet of course, the youngest rc student i saw was 7 years old.
I think this is a minimum
i'll be the hapiest man on earth if one day one of my daughter show interest to model airplanes, or real ones
