I *almost* dismissed this as "just another .40-sized model" - I've been getting rid of my small stuff and moving up in size.
Until the cheap ******* in me that can't pass up a good deal did 20 minutes worth of research, and found out that people are flying these planes with YS .63s, Saito .72s and Saito .91s.
Let's see. Got a couple of spare receivers, a bunch of good servos, a rx battery, switch harness, extensions, etc. on hand. I also have 2 YS .63s, one Saito .72 and one Saito .91 lying idle.
Sod it. Where's me wallet?

Engine ?
Now I am no 3D guy or whatever but I like good vertical performance...
I have either an Irvine 53 or a Saito 65, am I grasping at straws or can I get some above average performance from these options?
Saito 91- Insane...

I think 7lb plane + 60" wing + 594sq. in. divided by servos in the tail if necessary equals a perfect set up!

Have one of these with a YS63 Awesome
I have the Hanger 9 Cap232 with a YS 63 an it is a great airplane!!!!!! I do hate the colors alot. I like it so much that i ordered a new one and plan on striping the ugly colors off of it a putting a more visable and attractive color scheme on it.

.40 size Hanger 9 Cap 232 ARF for only $119 including shipping!
well last week I bought a GP shoestring, a few days ago I was searching ebay and came across a Hanger 9 cap 232 .40 new in box, so I bid and won the plane for $106 plus $20 for shipping. There must be a large supply of these planes because there are many for sale on ebay never opened for around $100. Looks like I'll have to dish out some more money for a new power plant because the only free motor I have laying around is a TT pro .46 and I think it will be a little underpowered for this plane. Maybe this one will sit on the shelf for a while, but at that price you can't go wrong. I hope it flies well!!!
