Anyone know of a company that makes a wingbag for the one piece Hanger 9 Edge 540? Its 78'' long and I've only been able to find one place that makes them(www.wingbags.com) Just wanted to be able to compare prices a little!!

Thanks!!

Default Wing Bags for 1/4 scale??

James,

My girlfriend and I made a pair of wing bags for my 1/4 scale Extra. The total cost was about $25. It was pretty easy and neither of us were any good working a sewing machine. She was much better than I was and it didn't take her very long. I even thought about taking them to a tailor to sew the pieces together. It couldn't be that much for a straight stitched line.

Just food for thought. I know those pro bags are pretty expensive.

You might want to try www.carden-aircraft.com, I believe they sell Wingbags by Caroline, although if memory serves, they are about the same price! Hope that helps!

Default Here's a pic

FYI, Here's a pic of the wing bag she made. Maybe it'll give you some ideas.

Default Thanks for the help!!

Mike,
That bag looks great and its exactly what I'm looking for! Where could I find the material? What is it fleece on the inside and vinyl outside?

That link was pretty sweet too!!

Yup, black vinyl and fleece! Cool, huh.

Any fabric store will have those materials. I think the store we went to was Joanne's. UFO is also a big name, but I don't know if they are out your way. We got the black vinyl (easy to clean, tough, water/ oil resistant) on the discount table. They had tons of stuff that would have worked too, but I liked the vinyl.

It was so cheap, that we actually made three (the first one was, well, not so good) and went back for some more vinyl. Then, just a strap of some sort to go around.

Your options are limitless on the design. You could make one bag that holds two wings and folds- like a portfolio. Lots of combinations.

Take it easy.
