Yestersday
near the METRO EAST flying field there was a GRAND THEFT

the AMA SHOW TEAM had been out to practice sunday pm Jan 5
after practice they stopped at a cafe for dinner

while inside their new truck trailer and all of the show teams models
and radios and supplies was stolen

the EMPTY trailer was recovered in Oak Cliff this PM

the Pick up is still missing as is all of the show teams models

I am expecting an email very soon with a good description of all of the
missing models.

but in the meanttime

if anyone surfaces TRYING to unload lots of modeling stuff

at club field- hobby shop
or to any modelers please be advised that there will be a LOT of HOT
MODELING stuff seeking to be FENCED VERY SOON !!!

when they send the full description I will also include the POLICE DEPT
which is handling this theft...

BUT NOW if anyone appears trying to unload LOTS of modeling stuff
PLEASE
be ADVISED...

Yes Ebay is a superior place to look for items as I look there every night. Please give descrips and pics and I will keep an eye out as well as my wife as she is there all the time too.

This absolutley sucks that some *****'s would do this.

I live in District 8, Southwest Oklahoma to be exact and I'll definately keep an eye out for these items. It would help to know what part of Texas they were stolen in though. And was it just the plane that was stolen that was worth a large amount. From the original post it seems there was a lot of other high dollar stuff stolen too. A complete list would help us all keep an eye out.

hope we can catch the scum that did this.

I think we are all looking out for it--but those guys are watching themselves--there are many angry R/C modelers on to them. including me.

Nah, the truck will be the big kahuna. Maybe anyone living near that aea could ask for anything that would make that truck unique, and keep a look out? I know that it is probably on the other side of the globe by now, and that plates etc. could be changed, but its worth a try.

The car and planes should be in the DFW texas area, It was stolen in Mesquite, and the trailer ended up in Oak Cliff, probably its final destination (?), but was stolen in front of a restaurant, so may be going through different states.. The Truck stands out with misc RC graphics on it, but mainly the big MERCC graphics set above the front windshield should set off alarms.. Keep an eye out at all pawn shops as they may pawn the tools and generator..

hum---i really dont find this a joking matter myself---If some one stole my planes, Id hate to be them, I wouldnt want anyone making fun of me---but like you NOS, people make fun of me alot----your not the only one my friend.

how bout this thought........... You're at the track with your trucks, you go to the bathroom, and you come back and your trucks/radios/tools are gone. Are you going to cry,make a fuss about it, call the police, ask your friends to help, or cry????? NOT!!!!!! BECAUSE HEY DUDE, YOU SHOULD'VE CROSSED YOUR LEGS AND NOT TAKEN A PISS!!!!!!!

come on now. no matter what part of R/C a person is in to, be it planes, boats, trucks, cars, etc..... we need to have a little bit of sympathy. And no matter what the items were, it was still a crime and over $40,000 worth is missing. bashing somebody just because it happened to be planes is uncalled for.
