Default Flying fields and clubs....

Moving to the Vancourver, BC area and would appreciate any input on what flying fields and clubs exist up there - or any direction on how to find out would also be a great help.
Primary interest is in gas powerd fixed wing planes of medium size.
Thanks
Bruce

Default Vancouver area clubs

Bruce,
Can you tell me what specific area? I can point you in the right direction. I can think of seven club fields in the lower mainland just off the top of my head.....

Default Clubs and Fields

Bruce, I'm with the "Abby Hawks", about a one and a half hour drive east of West Vancouver, so you won't likely be joining our club! I think that the closest for you would be the Radio Control Flying Club of B.C. or RCFCBC for short. They are the biggest and oldest club around here and I believe they still have two flying fields. It's been years since I was a member. That's not to say that there isn't a closer field, but I'm not aware of one. Here's the club web site: www.rcfcbc.com.

For contacts to other clubs in town, you can try asking Dean at Norburn Model Aircraft Supply. www.norburnrc.com. He is a centrally located hobby shop you can visit when you get here.

I hope this helps. If I can be of further assistance, just let me know.

Cheers, Nigel
