I'll be 42 in August. August will also mark the beginning of my 24th year in R/C........... I think............. Anyway, I started in '79.

32 but really only 27.
Been at this hobby since last August and now have 3 slopers and 1 e-glider in flyable condition, one in a box waiting to be completed (reads "funds clearance") and one about to be re-incarnated slope/e-power wing.

26. One of the "young" in the club. There are two kids in the club.
Been Flying since 94 (is it that long ago?). Time is starting to run faster each year, already got married, we're planning for kids next year. If it's a boy, he'll start flying before anyone I know, if it's a girl, I'll start buying pink/pearl monokote for sure.

37 Started flying at age 14 Maybe one of the days i'll get good at it.

46. Been flying since 1979. Built (assembled) one ARF over the years, didn't like it. Built and flown more than 30 planes in the last 24 years.
Like a previous post said, it's not a hobby, it's a lifestyle.

some arfs really suck, true, vmar arfs for example. However, other arfs such as lanier, sig, and great planes are exceptional in quality. fact is, if you get the cheaper arf, you are likely to be dissappointed. one more tip, don't buy a cheap arf from a company you have never heard of before, and look around on rcu for posts about the plane you wish to buy. i made that mistake of not doing it when i bought my cap 232 from vmar. sure, it tumbles well, but it snap rolls so badly that i can't do any of the wild maneuvers that a comprably sized edge or extra can. also, the covering is propably the worst of all arf coverings, which are notorious for breaking all the time unless otherwise noted that it is an iron on covering. by the way, i am 13.

wow space i didnt know you had an arf cap.........i thought it was great planes......i got my arf from creek hobbies it fly's better than any arf i've ever seen (unless it was custom made from ZN line as an arf).

great planes makes some nice planes, but they didn't have a .60 size arf. they have a .40 cap arf but it looks pretty ugly to me, so i went with the vmar one. i didn't notice the lack of quality until i had already built it and couldn't return it. creek hobbies does indeed have a good line of products, all qulity arfs. however, i am looking at a 3d extra from extreme flight rc. they haven't even started shipping them, but this thing is indeed covered with real iron on covering s i don't have to worry about my big toe going through it (that happened with my cap. arfs notoriously have cheap brittle covering, but this one made me cry. it looked so nice and now it is covered with patches from their recovering kit. Where the colors are at least 10 shades lighter) and this plane seems to be of fairly high quality. 38 here, hobbyist since near-birth it seems, and until lately, primarily in the static models. Still an R/C novice, but moving up, LOL

36 , but 12 at heart. Flying since 1979. Dad got me into it.
Dad got diagnosed w/the big C yesterday and it does not look good for him at all, (being a health nut doesn't always exclude you from that filthy garbage.) For those that care please say a little prayer for a fellow flyer (Len . . . my Dad, college prof., and educator of eager minds. )
