Only thing worse than having to head home because of bad weather.
hehe.....Got a call from a unamed buddy this morning to go flying.
He said he was going to mow the field before he flew.
I told him I'd be up there in a hour.
Was beautiful at 10, now along comes 11 and here comes the wind (probably 40 mph. Said unamed buddy, calls me on his cell.
Says he just finished mowing and its blowing to hard to fly now.
(sounded pretty disgusted too)
Just had to share.

The Only Thing Worse......
What I would give to mow the grass now.Havent seen green grass since the end of November. This morning I woke up to 3 inches of snow, and ice on top of that.YUK

Yes the wind was strong this weekend but I flew any way landing in heavy wind makes me feel excited. Every fly a Slow Poke in 25 mph wind? Way to excited ? No just plain good fun!

our field is right on the cliffs, we can have really nice weather and as you drive up you see the mist roll over the hedge, annoyingly, it only lasts just out of the field, sometimes you can take off and fly the other way and get away with it... sometimes.., flights under 20' are also do-able sometimes, most of the time you go home and sunbath.
Either that, or you get a slight sea breaze, and that makes the biggest rotors right on our patch, you stand and feel no wind, you take off, and your upside down, nice
