Default Accu cycle

have one for about two years now and after recalibration by HOBBICO it's fine, I use it a lot and am satisfied with it's performance, BUT- there are better cycler's and chargers on the market.

Bought the new Great Planes ElectriaFly charger and cycler and I love it. In fact it will charge Lih-ion, and Pb batteries.

My growing inventory of kits, as I can allways purchase that new gizmo, but 60 size A-1 Skyraider, Cessna 37, Giant Aeromaster, H9Cap 73" and many more are not being produced.

I was just about to get out of the hobby...then I bought a sheet of Coroplast for $8.00. It turned out to be my best ever R/C investment. I built 3 planes from that first sheet, and over 300 planes since. It's caused me to go from a couple planes to 20 flight ready at any given time. I'm having more fun in this hobby than I ever though possible!

Whatever little gift that I have to buy my wife to keep her as supportive of my hobby as she is. If it weren't for her being so supportive I would probably have had to get out of the hobby (or marriage) by now.

For me it is a tie. About 30 years ago, I built a 54'' wingspan SIG control line plane. Breaking in the engine I did the most stupid thing I could have. Got caught in the prop and had 19 stitches in my right hand. (Yes....stupid) That action alone scared me quite a bit. I am now in RC and love it. So for me the tie is:

1. Electric Starter/w Batteries (No wires and no chicken stick)
2. Dremel (no doubt about it.)

Another vote for the Dead Center drill, I use it for everything from engine mounting to servo mounting. Great tool!

1. Saves planes

2. Helps accelerate/exploit the RC addiction in others

What's a dead center drill? Is this that thing that marks the center of a hole? Kind of like a spring loaded pointed rod in the center of a cone?

It's showed up here a few times so it might be something for my "must have" list.

Thanks........Mark

You're right Mark. It's from GP. For longer thru holes, the accuracy will depend on how well you hold/align it with the hole axis.

After being out of the hobby some 20 years I have to say most of the stuff is the same as it was then except my radio, Futaba 9C. So at this point my 9C has been my favorite investment.

2nd) I suppose current solid state gyros such as the Gy401. No way you could have flown a heli years ago like you can now. Well maybe with a lot of tinkering..
